Thank you for checking in on our blog which will be filled with pictures, stories and emotions of our seven week adventure cycling across the country.  We will be starting out in LA and working our way though AZ, NM and then on throughout the Midwest and on into OH, PA and the New England area.  Day-1 we’ll dip our tires in the Pacific Ocean and then 3,400 miles later, will be dipping (or falling) into the Atlantic outside of Boston.

So how did the American Red Cross get involved with this ride across the country?

Well, as some of you may know, Julie has been an active volunteer with their Disaster Action Team.  She assisted with the refugees coming to the US from Haiti at the time of their earthquake, has helped local victims of house fires and last year was deployed to Alabama to assist those effected by the storms and tornadoes.

While we were planning this ride originally for Ed’s 60th birthday, it evolved into this opportunity to assist this most appreciated organization.  The Red Cross has also been helpful in helping us create our website for donations.  If you would like to support us with a donation, please click on the link on the right — And Thank You.
